I just closed my eyes

and sat here, taking this beautiful piece all inside, rocking, and loving every note. Though it rings of shadows, it also sounds of hope. For those glorious and moving elements, I thank you deeply, friend.

I send my sincerest condolences.

As someone who has also written music for loved ones lost, I truly appreciate your beautiful, enduring work here.

Peace always,
~Justin

Thank you very much for your words and condolences. Hope is a feeling I have put behind the sadness of this song, because I truly hope to see her again.

A Song for Contemplating Taking One's Own Life?

I wrote a poem years ago, that I figured might be fitting for this melancholic, beautiful piece...

A thought in tender, tender gloom

A thought, in tender, tender gloom,
Half in dark, and half in light,
Sleeps within a gray sky's room,
Broods in dreams of cloudless night,
For ponderous of a poem's bosom,
Dull stars summon their rayless might.

Fleeting moments diminish glorious,
Time takes his dread leisure up again,
But to find the nightly shores uproarious!
Benumbed immortal, if thou can,
Do you see as I see?, are you as curious?,
That all has sprung of darklings since thou began?

What face dost thou possess?, what design?,
What faculties makes tears linger to end as soon?,
Wandering up through murky climes,
A ghost! a ghost!, or t'was the moon?
Mine eyes beheld the deceiver of thy shrines,
And a blink t'was all, to leave twilight alone!

Each cloud above, greatest and small,
Each is but a sleepless hem,
Holding skies to seas' ev'ry rise and fall,
Multitudes discover each mirthful beam,
With windy freedom that sweeps past all,
O, that I should be as them!

Are YOU ready for summer??

This track is groovy! Reminds me of dancing at summer parties hehe!

Nice synths and sweeps on the drums! Diggin that downtempo bassline too! :)

Great continuity and flow! I could hear a nice reverbed piano melody in my head whilst kicking back to this!

Nice chill tune, mate! Keep 'em coming, just in time for summer!! :D

Peace!
~Justin (DJ Seuss)

Oh, by the by, I've a couple new tracks up, check 'em out! :D

darthduba responds:

Thanks mate :) I will check em

Fancy beats!!

Fancy, wonderous beats!! And nice synths and pads, man!!

That drum splicing must've taken forever, but it sure sounds incredibly worth it!

Peace always,
~Justin

Teddybeere responds:

Thank you, yes it took me some time, I'm glad it worked for you.

Huzzah!

Great to see other long, superbly-crafted songs! :)

Awesome swell-pads and trancey-plucks; deep, swirly bassline, and sweet drum programming! Those breaks are spliced to spicey perfection, mate! Nice drops and spaces, too... :)

Peace!
~Justin

darthduba responds:

Thanks :) I'm glad you liked it

Nice synths, wicked snare!

Hey man, just wanted to say that the tune is kickin'!

Great synth sounds (love that arpeggio'd melody synth especially! Reminds me of Concord Dawn!) The pads are nice and melodic, yet simple and graceful. That snare is wicked and a nice contrast to the sweet synths. Gnarly bass sounds too. I'd maybe try adding some snare rolls into your drums, just to smooth out those drum transitions at points; just an idea to help smooth the flow even more...unless you dig that drop-n-cut style!

That nice little filter swish at 2:05-ish is a nice little variation!

Again, great tune, man! Keep it up! Keep your head up, and keep making the music that drives your soul!! :)

Peace always!
~Justin (DJ Seuss)

Flared24 responds:

i intentionally had the drop and cut sections just for emphasis when the fast hats transition in. my style for this track was more of a hard-hitting neuro thing

thanks for reviewing :)

DjDema responds:

Thanks man! Obviously some dude with a lot of voting power just bombed the rating xD but thanks much man!
